Ford Crossflow |
In the early days of the Fury, the most popular engine was the Ford Kent Crossflow used in the early Escorts but now there are many more modern car engines that can be used. The choice is not limited to four cylinder engines either. It is also feasible to squeeze in a Ford or Rover V6 or V8. |

In addition to those car engines pictured above, the trusty Ford Pinto and CVH engines are possibilities for those on a tight budget. Other non-Ford engines that have been successfully installed include the Fiat twin cam, Alfa twin cam, Vauxhall 8- and 16-valve units as well as the 16-valve Rover 'K' series. |
