The choice of Fury engines is vast and includes those derived from motorcycles. |

As an example of what is available, look at the Honda Fireblade. From this 999cc engine comes 130bhp in standard form. In a Fury weighing only 450kg, that equates to over 280bhp per tonne. Not bad for an engine costing around only £1,000!
So what’s the catch? There really isn’t one. Maybe they are a little noisier than a car engine - they typically rev up to 11,000 rpm - but that is what makes them so dynamic. A lightweight Fury with a Honda Fireblade engine is pushing 60mph in under 4.5 seconds and is up to 100mph in under 10 seconds. With the larger 1300cc Suzuki Hayabusa engine the performance is even more breathtaking! On the road, bike engines will trundle around town with the minimum of fuss at 30mph in 4th gear but be ready to set the pulse racing once you get out onto the open road.

The integral bike gearboxes do not have a reverse gear but where this is required, as an alternative to pushing the car backwards yourself into that parking space, we can supply the Quaife reversing box or the integrated ratio-adjustable LSD reversing unit from Muffet.
At Fisher Sports Cars UK we have a good working knowledge of a number of bike engines including the Honda Fireblade, Honda Blackbird, Kawasaki ZX9R, Yamaha R1 and Suzuki Hayabusa. Contact us to find out more.
