HiSpec brakes are available for most kit cars based on Escort MkII, Cortina, Sierra and Westfield uprights. Our ultra light brake kits have been specially designed for bike engine cars and can provide a weight saving of over 10kg and still fit under many 13" wheels.
Brake Upgrades: our most popular full conversion budget upgrade kit for bike engined cars comprises 260mm diameter x 7mm lightened, solid one piece plain discs, with Ultralite 4 pot calipers. Priced from £307 (plus VAT), brake pads extra. For car engined cars the upgrade kit consists of 260mm diameter x 22 mm lightened, vented, one piece plain discs, with Ultralite 4 pot calipers. Priced from £309 (plus VAT), pads extra.
As a direct replacement for the usual Ford M16 calipers fitted to most kit cars as standard, we now have the full billet caliper. These are machined from solid alumimium stock, rather than a cheap, possibly porous and weaker casting. Options are:
• Calipers with 2 pot Ultralite version at £110 per caliper (plus VAT)
• 4 pot Ultralite version at £120.00 per caliper (plus VAT)
• Big Billet 4 pot version at £162.00 per caliper (plus VAT).
All of these calipers fit directly with the standard Ford 247mm dia x 12.7mm solid disc or the Ford 247mm dia x 22mm vented disc.
